Week of Jubilee
November 20-24
It is traditional at Christ Covenant Church that we hold no evening meetings or events on our campus during the Week of Jubilee (Thanksgiving Week) so that our congregation may spend more time at home with their families. We wish you a wonderful week of giving thanks for all the wonderful blessings that have been bestowed upon your family, our church, and our community. Even through difficult times, there is much to be thankful for.

2017 Celebration Service
Sunday, November 26 | 6 PM worship service
On this special day, we will praise the goodness of God and His work in and through this congregation during the last year. We will have copies of the 2017 Annual Report available that morning in the lobbies, and you can view it on the Finance page of our website (under Members) by Saturday. Please plan to join us for this time of encouragement for our church family.

DivorceCare: Surviving the Holidays
Tuesday, November 28 | 7 PM
Our DivorceCare program will be holding an evening seminar to give you help and hope as you navigate the Christmas season. Are you wondering how you will survive the weeks surrounding Thanksgiving and Christmas? Are you dreading these holidays, knowing that everything has changed and that happy memories from past years can't be recreated? Our Surviving the Holidays seminar is especially for people who are separated and divorced. You'll learn how to deal with the many emotions you'll face during the holidays, helpful tips for surviving social events, ways to give your kids a good holiday experience, and how to discover hope for your future.

Christmas Worship Concerts: Handel's Messiah
Saturday, December 2, and Sunday, December 3 | 7:00 PM
Christ Covenant Church is proud to present our annual Christmas Worship Concert on two nights in December in our sanctuary. This year we will be doing Handel's Messiah and will feature the Christ Covenant Messiah Choir, Symphony Orchestra, and soloists. Our guest conductor will be Jeffrey Heyl. This concert is free of charge and NO tickets are required. A love offering will be taken to help support the music ministry.

Children's Birthday Party for Jesus
Saturday, December 9 | 10:00 AM - noon
This annual outreach event for children ages 3 to 5th grade helps our families share the true meaning of Christmas in a fun and inviting way. Join us in the Community Life Center for a special story time, songs, crafts, games, face painting, balloon animals, and cookies to decorate! Everything is free! Reformation Weekend Videos
On October 27-28, 2017, we celebrated the 500th anniversary of the Protestant Reformation with a conference sponsored by Christ Covenant Church and Reformed Theological Seminary. The conference featured messages on the five solas and breakout sessions. Videos from the conference and from Reformation Sunday are available on the Reformation Conference page of our website, which can be found under Resources on our website.

Do You Need Help with Housework or Yardwork?
Every year, church members and families partner with Campus Outreach to help get our students to the Campus Outreach New Year's Conference. The Lord has used this annual conference in many different ways and we would hate for our students to miss out because of finances.

Paid Childcare Workers Needed
Part-time employment opportunities are currently available at Christ Covenant Church for childcare providers. Pay is $10 per hour with a 2-hour minimum. The current need is for Tuesday mornings from 9:30 AM - 12:15 PM. Other days and times are occasionally available. ProjectSHARE November Collection -
Carrington Place
Carrington Place Rehabilitation and Living Center is located just down Fullwood Lane from Christ Covenant Church. Their mission is to be the community facility of choice - a Matthews nursing home providing resident-centered and family services with genuine compassion and highest quality. We are collecting shampoo, conditioner, body lotion, men's body wash, cologne, perfume, book lights, magnifying glasses, picture frames, tissue, and wind chimes. Items can be dropped off at the Information Desk any Sunday in November (next Sunday, November 26, is the last Sunday in November - so don't forget to bring your items!). Please see our

Roper Scholarship
Covenant Day School is accepting applications for its Roper scholarship, which covers up to 80% of a student's annual tuition. This scholarship is available only to Christ Covenant Church member families considering enrolling a new student for the 2018-2019 school year, who would also qualify for financial assistance. The deadline to apply for this scholarship is January 15, 2018. Please contact the CDS Admissions office at 704-847-2385 for more information or to pick up an application. Norman & Alison Mackay
Church Planters: Scotland
Norman and Alison are planting a church in the Govan area of Glasgow, Scotland.
Pray
that God would give them wisdom as to what weekly programs to set in place. Pray that Mehran, a converted Iranian Muslim, will be a key outreach worker to the growing Iranian community in Govan. Pray for times of rest and refreshment for Norman and Alison.
