 New Logos!
I don't know if you noticed, but we are changing our logos and motto!
I was thinking about our new INNOVA dealership relationship with Accomplish Quilting and how we value their outstanding service. I realized that
service is one thing that stands out about our longarming services, customer interaction, and our soon-to-be INNOVA sales activities.
Not many people know that I was the Business Manager of Grihalva Chevrolet, in El Cajon, California. Our motto was "Where Service Is King!" and we had a king caricature.
Throughout the years all of our business activities have focused on providing service to our customers and clients.
So, it seems appropriate to announce our new motto and logos. Our logos have a crown added to "Ruthie" and our motto is "Where Service Is Queen!"
 Christmas Quilting!
Please remember to get those quilt tops finished up so that they can be ready for Christmas! Don't forget to take into account the additional time for you or us to bind your items!
Ruth's Shipshewana Schoolhouse!
 Ruth has been invited to be a schoolhouse teacher at the 2018 Shipshewana Quilt Festival Schoolhouse! This will be her fifth Shipshewana Schoolhouse. This is quite unusual as we do not vend at the Festival. We do really enjoy the staff, quilters, and environment of this Festival, however.
The Schoolhouse is on Thursday, June 21, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Westview Jr-Sr High School, 1635 600 W, Topeka, IN 46571.
This year her topic will be "Paying For Longarming? How to prepare and get the most out of your quilting dollars!" This session is designed to help you get the most out of your professional longarm experiences and dollars.
A slide presentation will first show the steps your quilt goes through when being quilted on a longarm machine. We'll then discuss how to prepare your quilt, backing and batting BEFORE taking it to a quilter. Finally, get lots of tips on how to become more confident choosing stitching designs and thread colors to accent your quilt.
West Central Ohio Quilter's Guild Retreat Instructor
WCOQG's retreat for 2018 is called "An Undersea Adventure". It will be held January 11-15, 2018. Ruth's session will be on her striking "Striated Star" This star is striking, yet simple [with big pieces].
I have always thought the motto of quilters should be "What You See Is Not How It's Made". That motto is especially true of this quilt.
The session is included in the price of the retreat. For those wanting to make the quilt, there is a special "retreat price" for the pattern.

In October, 2017, Ruth became president of the Bluffton Scrap Artists Quilt Club. She is having a great time.
And, yes. I know that presidents don't wear crowns, but Ruth is the queen of my heart!
Coming Closures
We will be closed for Thanksgiving Weekend, Thursday through Sunday, November 23 - 26, 2017 to celebrate with family. Note that we will be closed for the
Bluffton Blaze of Lights on Saturday, November 25, 2017.
We will be closed for the combination of the Ann Wilmsen - Peter Grihalva wedding, Christmas, and New Years from Saturday, December 23, 2017 through Tuesday, January 2, 2018.
Other than these closures, our normal hour will be observed.
