St. Columba's Annual Meeting
FROM THE RECTOR
New Outreach Initiative To Be Announced

Beloved in Christ,
With enthusiastic support from the vestry, I am calling for the creation of a task force that will discern God's call to mission and propose a new outreach initiative for St. Columba's. For details and to learn how you might be a part of this effort, please join us for the Annual Parish Meeting this Sunday at 10:15 am in the Church Nave.

With the vision of God on our horizon, I view St. Columba's as a great ship, a sea-going vessel, constructed for adventure and voyage on the high seas. When I hear stories of the glory days of yore, I picture you all out there in deep water, with salt and sea-spray, wind in your hair. Jesus' call of discipleship is a call to adventure, to follow and lead, and go to places yet unknown, to serve and heal, to teach and love. In the high waves, it's all hands on deck. Everyone is essential.

The time is come; the Spirit of the living God is calling us to faithful action. The wind is picking up. Sailors clamber up the rigging. Some take oars, some scan the horizon, and others tend the galley, each with a gift. It's time we set out for the high seas.

Our goal for stewardship this year is 100% participation; the only way we get there is together. If you have not yet made a financial pledge to St. Columba's for 2018, please do so today - online here or bring and offer your pledge card with all the others this Sunday.

If you have already made your pledge, thank you! If you were one of the seventy parishioners who visited with others, you have more stars in your crown.
Annual Meeting highlights this Sunday include electing new vestry members, giving thanks to parishioners stepping down or up into leadership roles, welcoming new staff, and hearing about a couple of vibrant ministries.

Peace, Ledlie

COMMUNICATIONS
Columba.org Gets a Facelift
St. Columba's is very pleased to announce that a new website has been launched at Columba.org. This project was started last summer, with the valued input from communication focus groups last spring. It has been clear for some time that we had "grown out of" the previous website, and needed some room to talk about the new directions we are growing in. More>
