This Sunday
Worship 10:00a.m.
Come join us for worship service.
Rev. Melody and Jonathan Tanner will be preaching the sermon on Sunday. The title of the sermon is "Neighbors Who Come From Afar." It continues
the sermon series entitled "Unite!"
Unite! is our sermon series in November in which
we attempt to tackle some difficult issues that seek to divide us, but may yet be used to unite us in Christ.
Everyone is welcome to stay after the service for fellowship.

Practicing Unity in Christ
After Worship
Anyone who is interested in practicing working toward unity in Christ in the midst of disagreement is welcome to stay after worship to dialogue. Participants will be assigned their position and asked to present it lovingly and respectfully based on Scripture. Our church is a safe place to practice this so that when we leave this place, we may be better equipped to witness to our faith, to each other, and to the world.

Daily Prayer
Starter
Please set aside time each day to pray for 2-3 minutes. This week's prayer starter is:
"
Oh God, you exist in perfect unity. If only we could experience unity in You in this world. Teach me to live peaceably with those with whom I do not agree that Your unity might begin with me...
"

General Fund Pledging
for 2018
Thanks to everyone who has pledged or already given!
$135,540 has been pledged so far, but we need to reach, at least, $155,940 to meet our budgeting goals.
As I'm sure you know, this new chapter in the life of Ghent Church is refreshing. But, it needs your financial support. Please pray for God's guidance about your annual giving. Your pledge card has been mailed to your home or you may pick up a card in our new welcome center. Place your pledge card in the offering plate.
Sanctuary Campaign Continues
We need to raise a total of $60,000 necessary for renovations and repairs of our sanctuary. And we only have $6,060 to go!
Please indicate how you are able to help on the bulletin tear off sheet on Sunday or contact
the church office.
Your brother in Christ,
Bill Whitehurst
