ANNOUNCEMENTS
Dul uth High School Eclipse Plan

As most of you have heard by now Gwinnett County Schools will be extending the school day by one hour on Monday Aug. 21. This will allow us to give additional guidance in order to ensure the safety of our students as well as give us an opportunity to experience what is truly a once in a lifetime event. Please find the attached document and information below to learn more about the eclipse itself, safety precautions surrounding the eclipse as well as our school's plan.

Our plan:
We will be providing all students an informational lesson regarding eclipses during the Connect 25 intervention period on Monday 8/21. Students will be offered the opportunity to view the eclipse in the stadium if they return the permission form sent home on Tuesday 8/15 by Friday 8/18. We will be providing approved protective glasses for these students. Students who choose to remain in the classroom will be provided a live streamed experience with guidance provided by a teacher. In light of the fact that students will not be in their assigned 7th period classes we will not be able to facilitate student check outs after 1:30pm.
