Harvest on Vine Presents: Annual Turkey GiveAway
Harvest on Vine  is an emergency food pantry that is one of Charlestown's best resources for those in need. Every month, the facility supplies food to hundreds of client families in the community.

With the help of generous donors, Harvest on Vine also provides Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners during the holidays. Nearly 600 turkey baskets were distributed to families during their annual Turkey GiveAway this Thanksgiving.

Turn It Around youth group members were  there to hand out these greatly appreciated holiday turkeys to our Charlestown families.

Michael "Smokey" Cain recently  shared his story with Shannon Lundin, our Community Outreach Coordinator, during an impromptu interview.

Mayor Marty Walsh's Youth Council
Congratulations to : Kaltuma & Mageney

The Mayor's Youth Council is a model for youth inclusion in government and civic engagement. We are so pleased that two of our Turn It Around youth have been honored to be a part of such a great initiative!

The Council advises Mayor Walsh and members of his administration on policy and programming. The Council also leads Youth Lead the Change, a participatory budgeting process that engages the community in how the City spends $1M of the budget.

The Mayor's Youth Council is a group of 85 high school-aged youth who are committed to improving community and empowering other young people in the city. The number of youth representing neighborhoods is based upon census data that indicates where young people live.
Congratulations, Kaltuma & Mageney!

Turn it Around : Youth of the Month
Andrew Miller

Andrew Miller
has been chosen as our November  Turn It Around
Youth of the Month.
Andrew demonstrated a can-do attitude throughout November and impressed his peers with his cooking abilities. We are so grateful to have Andrew be a part of our  Turn It Around family.

2nd Annual Turn It Around
Thanksgiving Dinner
Check out our photos from the 2nd Annual Turn It Around Thanksgiving Dinner. Thanks to many generous community supporters, we were able to host another delicious Thanksgiving Turn It Around style!

A special thank you to Tom MacDonald from Harvest On Vine Food Pantry, Sarah & Erik Malloy for extending the First Church of Charlestown's recreational space, and to all those who collaborated to make the dinner a success! Your commitment to serving the youth of our community has made our dinner a wonderful event for all!
