President Donald Trump tweeted his approval of daughter Ivanka Trump's work leading a U.S. delegation to the Global Entrepreneurship Summit in Hyderabad. U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley also praised Ivanka. "Thrilled to see" Ivanka Trump "in India promoting female entrepreneurs," Haley tweeted.

4 Million Indians Join Facebook's Blood Donation Feature
 
More than four million donors in India have signed up for Facebook's blood donation feature, the social media giant has said. In October, Facebook launched a feature, starting in India, to make it easier for people to donate blood. Hospitals, blood banks and non-profits can create voluntary blood donation events on Facebook, and nearby donors are notified of the opportunities to donate blood

PM Modi Welcomes Old Friend Barack Obama to India   

Former President Barack Obama met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi, the first meeting between the two leaders after Obama left the White House in January. "It was a pleasure to meet, once again, former president @BarackObama, and learn about the new initiatives being taken forward under his leadership at the @ObamaFoundation and his perspectives on further strengthening India-U.S. strategic partnership," Modi tweeted.

Indian Medical Student Wins Miss World Crown
 
Manushi Chhillar, an Indian medical student, was crowned Miss World at a glitzy event in a Chinese resort on November 18, making her country the joint-most successful in the beauty pageant's history. She is the sixth Indian winner of the long-running contest, following in the footsteps of Bollywood actresses Priyanka Chopra and Aishwarya Rai. Chhillar, 20, is a trained Indian classical dancer who also enjoys painting and hopes to open a chain of non-profit hospitals in rural areas, according to the Miss World website.

Goa and Italy are on top of the mind for Indians when they plan gastronomic holidays, reveals a survey. The finding is part of travel site TripAdvisor's second edition of its annual 2017 India Gastronomy Survey. The survey was conducted with an aim to uncover key habits and preferences of Indians with respect to dining out, and how much food influences holiday planning.
