Around the Community

Volunteer Center of Cedar Valley invites non-profit member agency representatives to attend the next VALU training. Come play the Volunteer Management  Game  and take-away some basic management elements to support your volunteer programs. It'll be a fun training full of conversation, best practice sharing, and networking.

Join u s on Sunday, December 10th from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. for  reduced price adoption fees,  cookies and punch! Register to win a holiday gift basket.

The holiday giving tree will be on display. The community is encouraged to take an ornament from our tree. Each ornament lists an item from our wish list. Donate that item during your next visit to the shelter. Needed items include, kitty litter, dry dog and cat food, wet cat food, rawhide treats, dog and cat toys, Clorox wipes, laundry soap, 55 gallon heavy duty garbage bags, soft-soap, and Ziploc one gallon storage bags.

Workshop Opportunity 

Interactive Innovation Workshop for Nonprofits
Thursday, December 14, 9:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.
This day-long Interactive Innovation Workshop teaches nonprofit leaders and their teams to: develop a broader understanding of innovative thinking, behaviors, and language; how to apply innovative tools in your everyday thinking; and take these tools back to strengthen their teams. The price is $99, which includes coffee and lunch.
