Funding for Intergenerational Ministry
|
Ark & Dove PC Intergenerational Ministry
|
by Liz Perraud, Gen On Ministries
Christ Memorial Presbyterian Church
LOGOS is a weekly intergenerational experience for young people that creates an arena where all ages, together, can learn about, experience, and practice the art of Christian relationships, critical for developing life-long disciples. LOGOS is a time for Bible study, a family-style meal, recreation, and worship arts in a setting of intergenerational relationships.

Members from Christ Memorial Intergenerational Ministry
|
In the Presbytery of Baltimore, two congregations currently offer LOGOS. Ark and Dove Presbyterian Church in Odenton meets for LOGOS on Tuesday evenings with preschoolers through 8th graders and on Sunday evenings with high schoolers. Their LOGOS ministry has about 45 children and youth and more than 30 adult volunteers.
Christ Memorial Presbyterian Church in Columbia meets on Wednesday nights with preschoolers through high schoolers, with about 90 children
and youth and about 70 adult volunteers. Both churches welcome visitors to experience LOGOS and answer any questions! Contact
Laura Rockwell at Ark and Dove or
Carrie Jenkins at Christ Memorial so that they can prepare for your visit.
GenOn Ministries
equips Christian communities for discipleship through intergenerational relationships and has a 50+ year history of partnering with churches to grow relationships, nurturing children, youth, and adults into a life-giving relationship with God through Jesus Christ.
The fund supporting Gen On Intergenerational Ministry is named in memory of Jane DeHaven who was a member of First Christian Church in Des Moines, Iowa. Jane was instrumental in starting and leading the church's LOGOS ministry. She also served as a volunteer training leader with GenOn Ministries.
