December 2017 Newsletter
Dear Friends,

As you probably saw in last month's newsletter, the BIWA User Community and Oracle Spatial & Graph SIG have been busy at work revamping our flagship event for you!   We've renamed/rebranded the conference, moved it to a different date, and modified speaking tracks and topics to reflect our expanded focus.

The news about changes for the Analytics and Data Summit continues this month, with new BIWA Board and event committee appointments listed below.

Don't hesitate to reply to this email if you have questions, additional suggestions, or want to sponsor or volunteer.

And, most importantly, we hope you enjoy this busy holiday season with your loved ones!

Thanks - and Happy Holidays,
The Analytics and Data Summit Conference Committee
Introducing the Analytics and Data Summit...
New Name and Date,
Same Great Technical Content!
As we  announced last month , the BIWA User Community is excited to announce a new name and brand identity for  our flagship event.  The BIWA Summit, is now called the Analytics and Data Summit!  This reflects the event's expanded focus and the evolution of the analytics, business intelligence (BI), big data, machine learning, and spatial and graph solution markets.

We also announced in another press release last month that the event, historically held in January each year, has been moved to March 20-22, 2018, at the Oracle Conference Center in Redwood Shores, CA.

Want to learn more?  Check out BIWA Community Board VP Dan Vlamis of Vlamis Software Solutions discussing the change in this video from Oracle OpenWorld earlier this year.
Speaker Deadline Extended to
Friday, December 22, 2017!
The Analytics and Data Summit team is seeking speaking applications related to the following topics: adaptive intelligence; analytics; big data; cloud; data warehousing; data integration and governance (ETL); Internet of Things (IoT); spatial and graph; machine learning; and "anything else 'cool' using these Oracle technologies in 'novel and interesting' ways."

Proposals that cover multiple areas are acceptable and highly encouraged.  The content committee strongly encourages technical/how-to sessions, strategic guidance sessions, and real-world customer case studies, all using Oracle technologies.

Primary speakers receive a free pass to the event!

To reflect the later conference date,
the content submission deadline is now
Friday, December 22, 2017.
