Technological Innovations
for Dementia

Alzheimer's disease and dementia have affected people across the globe and through the ages. While time has not brought a cure, it has brought innovations which can ease the caregiving burden and help keep those diagnosed safe and more comfortable.

Here are 7 technological innovations that can be very helpful.

Thanks to Alzheimers.net and our friends at the Kaplen JCC on the Palisades for passing along this important information.

'Tis the season  to enjoy the meaning of the holidays as well as all the merriment around them: food, friends, shopping and celebrations. It's also a time to share with those who may be less fortunate -- or maybe just lonely.

Englewood abounds with nonprofit organizations that do great good for people in our community.  Each of the organizations on our list will gladly accept an end-of-year financial donation.  Many also welcome the assistance of volunteers, so give a call and lend a hand!

Did you know that helping others is a great way to help yourself stay happy and healthy?  All sorts of research proves it, and you can check it out here.
The top 4 benefits of volunteering are:
      1. Volunteering connects you to others
      2. Volunteering is good for your mind and body
      3. Volunteering can advance your career
      4. Volunteering brings fun and fulfillment to your life
Two outstanding local organizations can help you find the volunteer position that is the perfect match for your interests, time availability and skills. Both also have a focus on helping older adults and/or retired people, so give a call!
