The Friends Program consists of four different programs with a common mission to better the lives of those we serve. With that shared mission in mind, RSVP and the Youth Mentoring Program collaborated to have Youth Mentoring mentees and mentors make greeting cards for care receivers in the RSVP Caregivers Program.
(Cindy Yanski, RSVP Program Coordinator, & Maureen Desmond, Youth Mentoring Program Coordinator, with the greeting cards)
The recipients of these cards are seniors who often live alone or are in need of a reminder that someone is thinking of them. The mentors and mentees enjoyed getting creative, knowing that their positive messages would bring a smile to many faces!

The Friends RSVP volunteers came through to deliver Thanksgiving food baskets with all the fixings, which were generously donated again this year by employees at
Dartmouth Hitchcock.
Many families in need will receive enough food for a bountiful holiday, and then some!

Caregiver Volunteers Needed
RSVP Caregivers Program provides door-through-door transportation for medical appointments and basic needs, including staying with clients to assist them, companionship and telephone reassurance. Rides are free of charge to participants, who are 60+ yr old.
Volunteers are either matched one-to-one with clients who need companionship as well as rides, or they are part of a medical transportation drivers pool.
If you are interested in learning more about this program or volunteering, contact Cindy at 228-7616.
