The proposed amendments to Chapter 45 include, but are not limited to: Clarification of the state's waterbody-by-waterbody classification system under the existing Antidegradation Policy; an amendment directing the implementation of the Antidegradation Policy to evaluate discharge impacts on receiving water quality; and the addition of site-specific copper criteria for the City of Idabel's discharge to Mud Creek. 

 

The proposed amendments to Chapter 46 include, but are not limited to: Creation of general rules applicable to Sensitive Water Supply-Reuse (SWS-R) waters and other tier 2 waters and the creation of a framework for antidegradation review in surface waters, which includes determination and use of assimilative capacity in Tiers 2, 2.5, and 3 waters.

A public hearing will be held January 16, 2018 at 9:30 A.M. in the Board Room of the OWRB's offices located at 3800 North Classen, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

 

Finally, during the OWRB's Informal Public Stakeholder Meetings (August - September 2017),   draft groundwater quality standards for those groundwaters subject to aquifer storage and recovery and artificial recharge activities were presented and discussed.  The OWRB did not submit these draft rules for formal rulemaking.
