Health Emergencies
Parents are notified to pick up their child if a student becomes ill or is seriously hurt during school hours. If a parent cannot be reached the school will contact one of the persons named on their child's emergency card. Students will not be released to persons who are not listed on the emergency card. For this reason you must notify the school office when there is a change of phone numbers or persons to be contacted. It is important that the school has at least two (and more is encouraged) names and phone numbers to contact in case of emergency, other than the child's parents.
If a student is injured or becomes ill at school, the school may deem it necessary to call emergency services. If these services are called, the parent is responsible for all fees incurred by these services.

Our entire school has joined in on the largest education event: "The Hour Of Code". During Computer Science Education Week (Dec. 4-8), every one of our students will be amongst over 2 million worldwide who will spend one hour learning computer science. This movement, organized by Code.org and supported by Apple, Google, Microsoft, Amazon and over 100 others,is a statement that today's generation of students are ready to learn critical skills for 21st century success.

JOIN MRS. GRIPP FOR SCIENCE FUN!
|
Join Mrs. Gripp at Creamistry for Science fun!
Do you like SCIENCE?
Do you like ICE CREAM?
Do you like ORANGES?
Then join Mrs. Gripp at Creamistry on Friday, December 8th from 2-4pm.
You will learn the science of how liquid nitrogen freezes ice cream, and $1.00 from every ice cream sold will be donated to purchase the school's first citrus trees. Won't it be great for our students to pick and eat oranges and tangerines from the garden? We are trying to purchase 2-15 gallon trees.
SCIENCE ROCKS!!!

EARLY PICK UP BY A NON-PARENT
|
Students that are going to be picked up during the school day by someone other than a parent will need a written note from a parent, that includes the date and signature of a parent. No student will be released to anyone unless a release is verified in writing by the parent. The staff may ask for identification if the staff does not know the person. The Car Pool list is only used for after school pick up and Emergency Cards are used only when your child is sick or injured or in case of earthquake or another emergency.

SERVICE HOURS FOR RESPECT LIFE MINISTRY |
We are in need of home baked goods for our Christmas Bake Sale Sunday, December 17th. The bake sale proceeds will be used to fund St. Philip's Respect Life bookmark and essay contest this coming spring. To qualify for service hours, follow the school's guidelines for baking (ie. 24 cookies = 1 service hr.) Coffee cakes and pies are always sold quickly, but any other home baked good will be great too. We also need parents to help out at the bake sale. You can choose a 1-4 hour shift sometime between 6:45 AM and 2:15 PM on the 17th. If you are interested in baking or volunteering, please contact Sheryl Valdez @
