Message From the President
American Express launched Small Business Saturday in 2010 to encourage individuals nationwide to support small local businesses. Last year, 95 million people went out to shop at small businesses.
Small Business Saturday is most successful in helping local retail businesses grow their revenues over this key weekend, when public/private coalitions of small business leaders have come together to provide coordination and leadership.
While we celebrate nationally Small Business Saturday, we shouldn't just patronize our local businesses during that one day of the year. According to the 3/50 Project:

If half the employed population spent $50 each month in locally owned independent businesses, it would generate more than $42.6 billion in revenue. Imagine the positive impact if 3/4 the employed population did that.

For every $100 spent in locally owned independent stores, $68 returns to the community through taxes, payroll, and other expenditures. If you spent that in a national chain, only $43 stays here. Spend it online and nothing comes home.

During this Christmas season, take the opportunity to patronize your local businesses as you shop for your Christmas gifts or purchase Chamber Cash.
Chamber Cash is our local gift certificate program—perfect for giving to everyone on your list! Comes in $5, $10, $25, or $50! Chamber Cash is sold year round. Please e-mail or call ahead with your order. Check out our list of participating merchants.

Leadership Seneca County Update
On November 8, 2017 Leadership Seneca County met at Heidelberg University for their November class session. The day started off with the entire class coming together to complete a team based challenge.
After completing the challenge quickly, the class then dove head first into learning more about their very own personality types using a Myers Briggs Type Indicator test. This proved to be very entertaining with each of the different personality types giving feedback about how they perceived their opposite.
Once realizing and understanding their true personalities, the class was then tasked with creating a Purpose Statement for their personal life. The class then learned how to effectively prioritize the many responsibilities going on in the home and in their work lives using a tally-mark system and Stephen Covey's 4 quadrant Time Management Grid. This is where they spent time trying to figure out how to organize their day to day work load.
The class then dined at the Hoernemann Refectory and took a tour of the Heidelberg Campus. In the afternoon, the class discussed and started to put their class project together. The next meeting will be the second Wednesday in December.

The bed of a pickup truck is probably one of the most abused parts of a truck.
There are a few options out there to protect the bed, but a spray in liner will serve you better over time and ensure the bed of the truck stays in-tact over the life of the truck.
Scorpion Liners can be sprayed in new trucks or used trucks.....in fact, we'll install our Scorpion Liners in your ATV, Gator, boat or trailer....and every application has the LIFETIME warranty.
