	Point Foundation Scholarship The Point Community College Program inspires LGBTQ community college students to fulfill their ambitions of attending a four-year college or university. Students accepted into the program will receive up to a $3,700 tuition scholarship, admissions counseling, coaching and financial education at the Point Community College Transfer Symposium in Los Angeles, and access to the Point Foundation network of LGBTQ scholars, more than 300 alumni, and many others dedicated to seeing LGBTQ students succeed. UC Riverside February 9-10, 2017 La Familia de UCR, Chicano Student Programs, and the LGBT Resource Center of UC Riverside invite you to join Un Espacio For Our QT Community at the 2nd ¡Presente! Conference on February 9-10, 2018. The ¡Presente! Conference is a queer college conference for Latinx/Chicanx/Indigenous/PoC, with a focus on people who self-identify with the Latin/South/Central American diaspora or Brown or Indigenous. People of all genders and sexualities are welcome to apply to attend Saturday's events. Friday's opening is free and open to all. Anyone who applies by December 1 will be given priority seating! The Coming Out group is a place to meet and gain support while discussing your sexual and/or gender Identities in a confidential setting. This group is for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, straight, or questioning folks who are coming out, considering coming out or may already be out. Topics are determined by group participants and can include stress, fear, anxiety, loneliness, family/cultural issues, excitement and celebration with regard to coming out. The group is open to new members the first 4 meetings of each quarter and then closes to maintain safe space.

	Access and Control of Indigenous Heritage: When the 'Object' of Repatriation is Song Speaker: Dr. Robin R. R. Gray December 6, 2017; 3:00-5:00PM Social Sciences Building, Room 103 The repatriation of Indigenous cultural heritage is not limited to the reburial of human remains or the return of totem poles and masks, for example. It can also include the repatriation of intangible cultural heritage such as songs and oral histories from archives. In this talk Dr. Robin Graywill discuss the efforts of Ts'msyen from Lax Kw'alaams, BC, Canada to reclaim a collection of songs from the Laura Boulton Collection of Traditional and Liturgical Music. How the community responds to histories of capture, what it takes to repatriate intangible cultural heritage from archives, and the legality of Ts'msyen songs will also be points of discussion.

	MUIR 2 January 10, 2018; 4:00-5:00PM WLH 2112 If you are a newTransfer Student and you did not get the opportunity to take your college's Transfer Year Experience course, you are invited to enroll in "MUIR 2" for the upcoming Winter QTR 2018. "MUIR 2" is open to new Transfer Students across all the six colleges and looks to equip students with best practices and critical skills on how to succeed at a large research university. Lectures and discussions are designed to connect students to academic and co-curricular resources, programs, and opportunities, on and off campus. 	Oasis Drop in Services The Office of Academic Support and Instructional Services offers math and science workshops to students led by a tutor who explains course concepts and encourages a collaborative learning environment. Current programs include MATH3C Study tables, located at Center Hall 375, Mon-Fri (10am-4pm). Drop in writing tutoring is also offered, where tutor and student will review writing prompts, brainstorm ideas and read papers for clarity and structure. 	CAPS Daily Drop-ins Want to gain skills to increase well-being today? CAPS Daily Drop-In Workshops are open to all currently registered students and are held Mondays through Fridays, 3:00-4:00pm. These workshops are a great opportunity for students to who are maybe having a tough day and want to gain skills to increase well-being that same day. 	I'm First Forum for Undergraduate Students Thursdays; 12:00-1:30PM CASP Office Student Services Center #555 In this informal, open forum, Dr. Roberto Luna from Counseling and Psychological Services will discuss topics that come with being the first in your family to attend college. Dr. Luna will also cover strategies and tips that students can apply to overcome challenges that face students who are "firsts." Themes will range from the imposter syndrome, marginalization and more. 	Apply for the Graduate Specialization in CGS Application Open from November 6 - December 8 Rigorously interdisciplinary and forward-thinking, UCSD's Critical Gender Studies program has spent decades educating and challenging undergraduates through the study of gender, sexuality, and racial formation. The graduate specialization was added in 2016 to enable graduate students to enhance their research on gender as linked to race, sexuality and other social formations.
