Ignite the Fort will feature a variety of fun, family-friendly activities including caroling, cookie decorating, toy making, wagon rides and a visit with Father Time. You'll also have the opportunity to decorate our giant holiday tree in support of the United Way. For $1 you will be able to purchase a bulb for the tree. Proceeds from the tree bulb sales will be donated to the United Way. At 6pm, we'll "Ignite the Fort" with a brilliant tree lighting ceremony in the Main Square. The Cantine Restaurant will also be open, serving a variety of heritage and contemporary menu offerings.

Following Ignite the Fort, the festivities continue with the Star of Bethlehem event at the David Thompson Astronomical Observatory. Miracle on 34th Street

Dec 7-23

At Macy's department store Christmas is big business. By chance they've hired Kris as this year's Santa Claus.

His unconventional ways unleash waves of goodwill that turn Macy's and the commercial world of New York City upside down. A Christmas classic for more than 70 years, this story of triumph of faith over greed, goodwill over commercialism is as relevant and meaningful as ever.

Can one nice old man with whiskers change the lives of a world-weary mother, her little girl and all of New York City?
