Financial Aid Applications for 2018-2019
Armstrong has a strong financial aid program which provides tuition assistance to over 25% of our students.  Financial aid grants are based 100% on need and we utilize a third-party software tool (SSS by the National Association of Independent Schools) to ensure we have an equitable and objective process.  All returning families applying for Financial Aid for the 2018-19 School Year must complete an application whether or not they are currently receiving financial assistance from Charles Armstrong School.  When completing the application online at SSS, please use the Charles Armstrong School Code of 2304 to access our school-specific application.

Birthday Messages on the Marquee

If you'd like to recognize your Armstrong student on the birthday marquee you by completing this form and returning it to school.  All messages run for one week and say Happy Birthday First Name and Last Initial, (i.e. Happy Birthday Charlie A).  The cost is $25.  (The birthday message is on sale until December 15 th .  After that date, the next opportunity to purchase a birthday message will be at the Community Fundraiser in April.)

Annual Fund

We are excited to report that more than half our Armstrong families have contributed to the Annual Fund!  Thank you!   We are so grateful for your support.  We hope to get all current families to give or pledge before December 30th

Why should you give to the Annual Fund?   Tuition alone does not cover the cost of your students' Armstrong education.  Annual Fund donations help cover the difference.  This money goes to teacher salaries, classroom supplies, and professional development.  These dollars help us to keep class sizes low and offer a robust gifts and talents program.

Why not simply raise tuition?
Raising tuition may discourage students who would benefit from attending Armstrong from applying, which impacts the whole community.  Like Armstrong, almost all independent schools rely heavily on annual fund drives to meet their operating budget. Contributions are tax-deductible while tuition payments are not.

How much should I give?
Only you can determine the right amount for your gift.  Families are asked to consider Armstrong a philanthropic priority and make a gift that is appropriate for their family.  All donations are equally appreciated.

Sports Corner:
Our sixth grade boys squad is 2-0  in their young season. They ran all over Pescadero last week over on the coast. This week, they continued that trend, taking on a new school in the league, Synapse School (beautiful gym). Cougars ran out to a 12-0 first quarter lead and never looked back. They ended up defeating Synapse, 25- 12. They're next challenge is Tuesday at Seacrest, in HMB.

The 8 th grade boys team couldn't complete the double header sweep as they fell to Synapse, 30-24. While a decent game overall, rebounding and turnovers hampered the Cougars efforts to win the game.

Attendance:
Please remember to phone in your child's absence to the Attendance Line at 650-592-7570 Option 1 by 9:00am each day your child is absent, going to be late, or out of the classroom for testing or vacation. Please State:
