December is here, and Hearthside is all decked out in holiday finery to welcome you! We are so very proud to announce that
Yankee Magazine
has featured Hearthside in the Nov./Dec. issue as one of its Favorite Holiday Events in New England (only one in each state selected)! Come see for yourself why we have earned such a distinction. Each year it seems that the house gets more and more beautiful! Our doors open this weekend, and there will be 5 opportunities to visit, whether you choose to come before Christmas or wait till after the holidays.
This Sunday, Dec. 3rd, bring the little ones to hear the story of
"Santa Mouse"
and find Hearthside's own "mouse house" all decorated for the holidays. It's the one time of the year that the Hearthside mouse family appears for all to see. While you there, take the opportunity for a
family photo
by our photographer taken in front of the fire in the festively decorated parlor.
And of course, stop by to see Santa, who will be at all our pre-Christmas events!
Next weekend features the
beautiful sounds of the season performed
on the harp at Saturday's event, and on the antique piano on Sunday the 10th. You may even hear some caroling when you arrive. Be sure to visit our Gift Shop, stocked full of unique gifts.
Following Christmas, we will offer
guided candlelight tours
on two evenings, Dec. 28th and Dec. 30th. This is a great opportunity to learn more about the history of Hearthside while enjoying the beautifully decorated house.
