Order Fruit Trees and Vines!
Fruit trees make great holiday gifts and this year we have 60 items to choose from! It's a clutter-free gift that keeps on giving for years...and the recipients will certainly thank you every time they enjoy a nice fresh squeezed glass of OJ, a squeeze of lemon on fish dishes, a fresh lime wedge with their margaritas, or a refreshing mojito! The uses are endless! Pick up is on December 2 at Lycee Francais' Marche d'Hiver! The deadline to order is November 30. The trees are only $27 to $35 each which is the BEST pricing in town. They trees are from Plaquemines Parish and are 3-5 feet tall.

If you are interested in purchasing a fruit tree click HERE. Please contact Lesley Prochaska with any questions at [email protected].

Thank you to all who have already donated to the 2017-2018 Annual Giving campaign. We have reached 30% of our $40,000 goal, and we still need your support.

Donations to the Annual Giving campaign help us support and enhance our Thinking Outside the Classroom program, ensuring we continue to offer these unique, hands-on learning experiences to our students. Your donations make these experiences possible!

REMINDER: if your child is currently enrolled in Pre-K4 (tuition) at Lycée Français de la Nouvelle-Orléans, please note that you are required to submit a OneApp for Kindergarten - specifically to Lycée - if you wish to continue with us.

The OneApp says that you do not need to apply to the school your child already attends. That is true for most schools. Lycée Tuition Pre-K4 to Kindergarten is the exception to the rule. If your child occupies a tuition Pre-K4 seat, you do need to apply to K. The Tuition Based program and the Kindergarten and up program count as two different programs because they have different funding sources.

You may submit a OneApp online with your existing account (the one you used last year). Your deadline is February 23, 2018. The early deadline for January 12th 2018 ONLY applies to applicants for 1st grade and up, not to Pre-K4 or Kindergarten.

Please contact Cristina with the Admissions department at [email protected] should you have any questions or need your children's OneApp IDs.

A big THANK YOU  to the Dad's Club for taking the time out to put up our new basketball goal at the Johnson Campus!

A very special thank you to Jeff Struckhoff, Chris O'Brien, John Vittitoe, Corey Nunez, Andrew Spees, Francis James & Keith Wiseman who were essential in making this project a reality!  The kids are absolutely thrilled to have a goal they can finally dunk on! Thanks again for your tireless effort in making our school a better place!

The French Lycée has an on-going partnership with the ESPE (Ecole Supérieur du Professorat et de l'Education) which is a French University that trains teachers. As we have done in the previous years we would be hosting student teachers to intern at Lycée. Host families are needed from January 15 until February 2nd.

Families must provide room and board. Transportation may also need to be provided.

Interested families should contact Yann Colin ASAP for more details at [email protected]

Our Thinking Outside the Classroom (TOC) program provides each grade level with experiential learning modules that last up to one month. Partnerships with the Audubon Nature Institute, National Park Service, Ogden Museum of Southern Art, Louisiana State Museum and Chevron's FabLab at Delgado Community College allow the school to create educational opportunities that are immersive, hands-on, and authentic site-based learning experiences. Not limited to words on a page, Lycée learners feel, smell, sing, and create through their lessons!

By using refillable water bottles, our staff and students have saved a total of 79,061 plastic bottles from the landfill.
