Happy Holidays!
Winter break is almost upon us. If you are at home, missing campus over those two weeks, here is a great web site to bring you back, virtually.
As part of Stanford's 125th anniversary celebration, a series of interpretive kiosks were installed across campus to tell the university's story through location-based themes. The 24 kiosks draw upon Stanford history, art, architecture, research, and campus life to offer information on significant Stanford discoveries, work and stories. This link brings up these kiosks, on the comfort of your own couch. CAMPUS KIOSKS
Managing Change and Stress at Work is the topic for the January Building Manager training. It's human nature to dig in our heels and get resistant when encountering change - especially when the changes are out of our control. Learn some ways to manage the stress that typically goes along with the change process (even when the change is good) and talk about difficult situations and how to better manage them. Rosan Gomperts, director of the Faculty Staff Help Center will lead the discussion and teach some helpful skills.
We have heard that many of you are disappointed that LBRE, PSSI and Surplus Property discontinued Campus Clean Up. Zone Management did a "test" Office Clean Up, and in the article below, Steve Clarkson gives pointers and information for departmental Clean Up. As the issue was going to press, we were notified that Custodial Services will now be able to provide labor for disposal via a work order, to make that step easier.
Enjoy the holidays, be safe and come back refreshed and ready for 2018!
