December is upon us and brings with it plenty of holiday fun! There are lots of holiday activities going on around town so read on to find out how to join in!

As weather can be unpredictable, please check our website  for all of the up-to-date information regarding all of our programs.  In the event of any changes to programs (including rain dates), our website will have the current class make-up and cancellation information!  If you're not sure, you can always call our office or email us at the information below.

Woodbury Christmas Festival
Friday and Saturday

Join in the Town Wide Festival which includes: Cub Scouts Wreath Sale; Woodbury Junior Women's Club Craft Fair & Visits w/Santa; Museums - Glebe House and Hurd House are open and decorated; First Congregational Church Bazaar; United Methodist Church & St. Teresa's Church serving lunch; St. Paul's Christmas Bazaar; Nonnewaug High School Plant Sale, Children's Library ornament making and Tree Lighting at North Green.




Programs will be posted on our website and registration will also begin on January 3rd. 

Tree Lighting

Every year, the Tree Lighting at North Green Gazebo helps bring Christmas to Woodbury! The event will be complete with Santa making his appearance to turn on the tree lights while the school choirs lead us in winter music. So bring your scarves, hats and holiday spirit and come down to join the fun!
Free Eye Exams

Woodbury Middle School

The Woodbury Lions Club will be conducting FREE eye screenings for children between the ages of six months and six years old. This service is offered free of charge by the local Lions Club under the Lions KidSight program, administered by the Connecticut Lions Eye Research Foundation.

Referees Needed



Basketball Referees Needed for In-House Park and Rec Program :
We are looking for those who know the game and enjoy being a part of our youth sports program to referee this season. 
We welcome experienced referees, but even if you have not refereed before, training will be provided.  Referees must be at least 15 years old.  Adults are certainly welcome, too.
 
Referee Information and Orientation Meeting --
-- Date to be determined -- 7:00 to 9:00 pm - Rec. House
Referee On-Court Training Clinic --
-- Date to be determined -- 7:00 to 9:00 pm - WMS Gym
 
Attendance is required on both dates.
 
Training will consist of an introduction to basketball officiating, rules reviews, and  the specifics to refereeing in Woodbury.
