My sixth grader was tasked this week with printing and bringing in 6-10 of her favorite photos of 2017. As we looked through what she was choosing, some of her favorite memories seemed like they happened so long ago, but in reality just happened this past year. I have to be thankful that for probably the first time in a long time, this year was loonnnggg, and also really great. :) I hope it was for you as well. Now it's time to wrap it up, hopefully I/we can continue to make the year go by slow and take time to enjoy this season. I know I'm going to. I'm especially going to make it a point to watch my favorite holiday movies. I love the older ones like Rudolph and Santa is Coming to Town, but I also enjoy the newer holiday movies like Elf - the scene above makes me giggle every time! What is your favorite holiday movie?
I thoroughly enjoyed Thanksgiving but realized, I really should get started with my shopping and decorating! And then I realized I didn't have to worry - along with our every day low prices, we have some great sales this month to help save on those end of year needs like decorating, gift giving and wrapping up those 2017 DIY resolutions :) so check our calendar for the schedule, make your lists and head on in!

What to do with the family this month!
Looking for something fun and Arizona-like to take the kids and/or holiday visitors to? Try out Las Noches de las Luminarias at the Desert Botanical Garden. Each night they hand light more than 8,000 luminaries, and of course the Garden is decorated with thousands of twinkle lights. It's got to be gorgeous, so go check it out.
I am also a big fan of ZooLights at the Phoenix Zoo. Always a must-see-go-do. I'm sure this year will be as beautiful as always. Save time and buy your tickets online! They also have value ticket pricing when you go on certain nights! Take advantage of those savings.
 Open every day until January 7th including Christmas, you must go and check out CitySkate at CityScape Phoenix! How cool does this look?! I'm sure it rivals Rockefeller Center :) It's an outside skating rink outside in Phoenix for crying out loud. Sounds pretty fun!
