KAVOD HA'ACHARON FOR MRS. TENDLER A"H
The faculty of Bais Yaakov Baltimore is renowned for the love and care they provide each student as they form a safe and nurturing environment for all our Talmidos. It was with much sorrow that we lost one of the great pillars of our school who embodied this mission with the passing of Mrs. Esther Tendler, A"H. Mrs. Tendler's loving laughter, wisdom, and kindness allowed her to comfort thousands of students who entered the Nurse's office for a band-aid, a quick rest, a vitamin-C, or just a needed good word. Mrs. Tendler was a proud Bais Yaakov parent, grandparent and great-grandparent. She loved Bais Yaakov, and Bais Yaakov benefited by her being a part of our school for so many years. The lessons she taught and the memories she created will be etched into the hearts of our school and her students forever.
Students and faculty in Grades 2-5 had the singular opportunity to extend a Kavod Ha'acharon to Mrs. Tendler, A"H. With the permission and gratitude of Mrs. Tendler's family, the Aron came to the Park Heights campus together with an entourage of family members. Faculty and students lined the driveway and were able to say some Tehillim and participate in the Mitzvah of Levaya for the Nifteres. This was an opportunity for the students to learn and watch how the Mitzvah of Halvayas Hameis is fulfilled with tremendous dignity. They conducted themselves with Derech Eretz and appropriate behavior far beyond their years. May the family, community, and school be Zocheh to much comfort in these difficult times.
If anyone has any memories to share with the family please send to aliza@prideofthefarmmilk.com . The family will be sitting Shiva through Monday Morning on Yeshiva Lane.

A TRIBUTE TO RABBI FREEDMAN ZT''L
Eighth Grader, Sarah Naomi Weiskind, spoke to the whole student body at our weekly Friday assembly about Rabbi Freedman. She told us how Rabbi Freedman went out of his way to comfort her following her operation. She too, had a heart transplant and Rabbi Freedman openly and happily shared his experiences with her. Because of this, Sarah Naomi has a very special place in her new heart for Rabbi Freedman.

"HOW TO" FAIR
Each year we challenge our Sixth Graders to write a few paragraphs detailing "How To" do something. The girls choose a topic and then exhibit the instructions on a beautiful poster. Some examples that were displayed at this year's fair included decorating cupcakes, making a flower pen, making Sushi, and making slime, amongst many other fun ideas.
CHANUKAH TOY DRIVE
Our G'mach Chanukah Toy Drive is under way! The class with the most gifts donated will be awarded a prize. After the Toy Drive is over, G'mach will be giving the toys to The Jewish Caring Network and Ahavas Yisroel for distribution.
NURSING HOME TRIP
This past week the entire Middle School went to bring joy and Chanukah spirit to residents of many local nursing homes. Our students interacted with the residents while creating a special project. This year each resident designed a small pillow with their name on it. This inter-generational mitzvah project is always a win-win activity; the girls feel great doing this chessed in such a meaningful way and the residents appreciate the girls' special attention. Thank you to Mrs. Mellman and the G.O. for arranging this trip and to our incredible PTA for sponsoring the buses.
We visited: Brookdale of Pikesville, Woodholme Gardens, Spring House, Weinberg Woods, Sun Rise, Weinberg Park, Tudor Heights, Milford Manor, Levindale, Envoy Of Pikesville, Spring Well, North Oaks, and Weinberg Gardens.
