Julie Winkel Clinic was Educational and Fun
|
The Zone 1 Committee hosted a USHJA Trainer Certification Program Clinic with Julie Winkel at the Mount Holyoke Equestrian Center November 12-13.
The event drew a record number of participants and auditors. The facility and support staff at Mount Holyoke were outstanding and even the cold temperatures couldn't keep participants enthusiasm down.
"I really enjoyed the clinic and thought Julie was a fantastic clinician," Megan Piermarini, assistant trainer at Back Bay Farm in Massachusetts, said. "She had such a positive style of teaching, which was great to see as a new professional."
Winkel presented concise and comprehensive lesson and training plans that are sure to be utilized by everyone that attended.
Guest speakers rounded out the program and included: John Manning, Zone 1 Chairman and FEI Course Designer; Laura Faulkner, VMD; Kate Rice with
Stable Secretary; and Sheila Murphy, who spoke about concussion protocols.
Special thanks to Fran Dotoli for organizing the clinic and CJ Law and Cynsie Broda for providing photos and a recap from the event! Also, s
pecial thanks to the New England Equitation Championship Committee for providing grants for the first 10 who registered for TCP credit.
