November 30th Newsletter

Dear Parents,

This Sunday, December 3rd, marks the first Sunday of Advent. This is the season of anticipation of Christ and is about four weeks in length. It is important to remember that although it is an exciting time of year for many reasons, it is truly about how Jesus entered our lives as a babe in a manger for the salvation of all mankind. During this time of year the school, parish, and families all partner together to educate the students in the importance of the Christ-event in human history.

There is nothing more important than spending time in reflection and peace with our Lord especially at this time of year. On Monday evenings during Advent, St. Catherine of Siena Parish will have Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm and Advent Adoration & Confession on Tuesdays: Dec 5, 12 & 19 beginning at 7:00 pm. What a wonderful way to express our love and thankfulness to Jesus through the Holy Eucharist and confession.

Pizza with Santa!

Join us December 6th from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm for a fun family night for everyone! The cost is $10 for adults and $7.00 for children. Children under 3 yrs. are free. Price includes pizza, salad, drinks, and dessert too!

Pictures with Santa will be $6.00.

Come dance with the DJ, share in the crafts, games, and raffles, while we await the arrival of Santa and Mrs. Claus too!

Service Team Christmas Project!

Wednesday, December 6th from 2:15 pm to

3:30 pm the SCSS Service Team will be making cards and kindness rocks that will be delivered to local veterans who are hospitalized. Come help make someone's Christmas a brighter one. Please see the flyer in today's Thursday folder for more information.

Rockin SCSS Students!

Jump with SCSS students on Friday, December 8th at Rockin Jump in Trumbull from 11:00 am- 1:00 pm or whenever you want! $15 per jump pass. Buy as many jump passes as you want. They have no expiration date! Tickets can be purchased at the school office. For each one hour pass purchased, the school will earn $5. Tickets must be purchased by 12/6.

Christmas Boutique for Students!

December 11th through December 13th there will be a Christmas boutique set up in the lobby for the children to purchase small gifts for family and friends. Please see the flyer in the Thursday folder today for more information.
