Performing Arts Choice Application Deadline is Friday: Here are Five Things You Need to Know
There are more than 300 Choice programs on 117 different campuses throughout Palm Beach County, giving students a tremendous range of opportunities for both experience and exposure in fields like finance, medical and law. For four of the academies that offer fine arts, encompassing music, dance and theater, there is an extra layer to the  application process  not found in any of the other fields.

Teach in the Glades, Job Fair Offering On the Spot Offers, Salary Supplement
The School District of Palm Beach County has an opportunity for those interested in becoming a teacher in one of its 12 Glades-area schools. During the GladesFest Teacher job fair, applicants will be hired on the spot to be in the classroom after the holidays, or obtain a contract to begin work at the start of the next school year.

GladesFest will be held Friday, December 15 in the Glades Region Office at 2625 NW 16th Street, Belle Glade. Sign-in from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m., Welcome/Orientation from 9 to 9:45 a.m., meet with school representatives from 9 to 9:45 a.m., Interviews from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The district offers an annual $3,750 supplement to teachers at schools in the Glades, as well as professional development, leadership and career advancement and additional jobs to supplement income. Learn more...

Palm Beach Post: Thank Jupiter High Students for Those Free Sunscreen Dispensers

Palm Beach PostUsing an $8,500 award they won from the Palm Beach Philanthropy Tank, two Jupiter Community High School students are installing dispensers that will provide free sunscreen at 10 locations, mostly in north county.

"All of the locations that RAY Band selected are well-visited by children and families," said Jordan Borenstein, Team RAY Band organizer and President of Jupiter High School Students Against Melanoma. "We are thrilled that we are able to help our community be sun-smart and have access to sunscreen."

Support Palm Beach County students at the ESE School Based Enterprise Fair!  The ESE School Based Enterprise Fair is a showcase for high school students who are developing their business and marketing skills through a school-based enterprise.
