Investing in Educational Excellence

FOUNDATION MONTH THANK YOU
Thank you to everyone who has donated to the Lake Forest High School Foundation so far this school year! We are grateful for the amazing community support to help us continue "Investing in Educational Excellence" at LFHS.

We would also like to recognize the local businesses that partnered with us during November to make this year's Foundation Month a great success:  Potbelly Sandwich Works, Jay Lovell's, Donati's, Lillie Alexander, Ltd., Chipotle, J. Crew, and Gifted.

All of our donors, supporters, and business partners have gone out of their way to help us raise the money needed to award grants that enrich the educational experience of EVERY student, in every academic area and at every learning level.

Also, a special thank you to everyone who supported our first "Pies for Education" initiative. It was a huge hit with more than 230 pies sold and over 55 donated to Ft. Sheridan military families! We are grateful to be able to partner with Jay Lovell's on this exceptional fundraiser.

Of course, there's still time to make a donation to the Foundation before the end of the tax year! Simply visit our website www.lfhsfoundation.org or use the envelope sent out the first week of November.

SPOTLIGHT ON GRANTS
The Collaborative Learning Commons has taken on a whole new look! The installation of new furniture on the second floor of the library was met with a great response from the students. These new tables and chairs give the students an excellent space for working individually or in groups.

The New Media Center also has received an equipment upgrade. Students and faculty now have state-of-the-art sound and recording equipment for multipurpose and professional use within the library. The new sound studio enables students to record podcasts, presentations and other audio projects.

SAVE THE DATE
Our annual Planting a Seed for the Foundation Luncheon is scheduled for Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at Exmoor Country Club. This event has something for everyone, including amazing auction items like premiere Graduation 2018 seating, parking spaces, sports and dining experiences and more.
