OSHA 10- and 30-hour Training Course Trainer Denny Buck, the former regional representative of the PA OSHA Consultation Program, is the trainer. Denny has an engaging training style and knows the regs inside and out. He is very reasonable in his approach to OSHA compliance and will draw on his 30+ years experience to educate the trainees. He will provide practical answers to questions and tell stories based on his experience to illustrate his points. The experience is substantially richer than on-line training alternatives, which is why OSHA favors this approach and makes it worth the registration fee. Denny has conducted more than 100 of these 10- and 30-hour courses.
Course Description: Safety in the workplace is a must if you want your employees to be productive and your company profitable. Injuries and illnesses caused by unsafe acts and unsafe conditions are likely to happen when training, written programs, and procedures are not planned and implemented. This 10-hr & 30-hr OSHA Outreach Training for General Industry program focuses on SAFE management principles that can make your company both compliant with OSHA and a safe place to work. The OSH Act, PPE, Electrical Safety, Machine Guarding and the new Hazard Communication Rule (GHS) are some of the topics addressed in these programs. During the training, you will learn the 3 main elements in any successful safety program. For example, do you know which OSHA rules require annual training? Which OSHA regulations require written programs? Do you know how to provide forklift training? How are scissor lifts regulated? Did you know that a lost time burn injury is estimated to cost you more than $57,000? Citations can cost you from several hundred to quite a few thousand dollars each - all avoidable by taking simple steps in a sustainable safety program.
