Town Promotes Local Workforce and Businesses through Outreach Events
Town Staff has been busy coordinating two (2) outreach events in the Council Chambers with Miami-Dade County Small Business Development - Internal Services Department on November 1st and November 2nd to promote the local workforce and businesses.

Town Manager Rafael G. Casals Credentialed by
International Local Government Management Organization
Town Manager Rafael G. Casals recently received the prestigious Credentialed Manager designation from ICMA, the International City/County Management Association. Manager Casals is one of over 1,400 local government management professionals in the nation currently credentialed through the ICMA Voluntary Credentialing Program. To receive the prestigious ICMA credential, a member must have significant experience as a senior management executive in local government; have earned a degree, and demonstrated a commitment to high standards of integrity and to lifelong learning and professional development.

Town Celebrates 2nd Annual Veterans Day Ceremony
On Saturday, November 11, 2017, the Town celebrated its 2nd Annual Veterans Day Ceremony and pancake breakfast at Cutler Bay Town Center to honor the brave men and women of the Armed Forces.

DBPR Conducts Town Wide Sweep for Unlicensed Contractors
The Town's Code Compliance Department and Cutler Bay Police have coordinated with State Investigators from the Department of Business and Professional Regulation (DBPR), to conduct a town wide sweep of the Town in search of construction work done by unlicensed contractors.

Town Hosts National Institute for Public Procurement-Developing and Managing RFP's in the Public Sector Seminar
From November 15-17, the Town hosted the "Developing and Managing RFP's in the Public Sector" seminar in the Penthouse, in collaboration with the Miami-Dade County Internal Services Department.

Town Presents Charles D. Scurr a Proclamation for Years of Service
On Wednesday, November 15, 2017, the Mayor and Town Council presented Charles D. Scurr with a Proclamation for his years of service with the Citizen's Independent Transportation Trust.

Families Receive a Holiday Meal in Time
for Thanksgiving
Each year the Town's Police Department seeks to spread some cheer to families throughout Cutler Bay. With the support of the Miami-Dade County League of Cities, officers from the Neighborhood Resource Unit were dispatched to deliver turkeys to homes just in time for Thanksgiving. Families were identified through the Town's public schools.

Stump Removals Underway Throughout The Town
The Town of Cutler Bay has made tremendous progress in clearing trees from roadways and sidewalks on Town owned and maintained roadways. Miami-Dade County is continuously collecting debris placed in Town right-of-ways and will make a second pass to collect any remaining debris left behind.

Palmetto Raiders 2017 Football Season is Stronger Than Ever
The Palmetto Raiders Youth Development Club is a championship pop-warner football team and cheerleading/dance team based at Bel-Aire Park (located at Franjo Rd & SW 185th Terrace, Cutler Bay, FL). The Palmetto Raiders provide youth football and cheerleading to children in the community from ages four (4) to fifteen (15). This year they provided six (6) traveling football teams, four (4) traveling cheer squads, two (2) intermural football teams and one (1) intermural cheer squad.

The Town and Miami-Dade Police Department utilize CrimeMapping to help law enforcement provide the public with valuable information about recent crime activity in their neighborhoods. Community on Patrol (COP) App
The Town and Miami-Dade Police Department offer the Community on Patrol (COP) App to allow the residents of Miami-Dade to be on patrol in their neighborhoods and report any suspicious activity to the Town's Policing Unit. The COP App can be downloaded for free in the iTunes Store or Google Play by searching "Community on Patrol"

Nextdoor is a website that makes it easy to communicate with your neighbors about the issues that matter most in your community. The website allows neighbors to share recommendations about local services, organize neighborhood events and connect with parents and other groups in the neighborhood. Miami-Dade Transit Tracker
Miami-Dade County Transit, which updates the Town's Circulator Bus Service, encourages you to utilize the Miami-Dade Transit Tracker App to help track your ride and plan your trip. The program allows riders to attain real-time tracking of the Town's Municipal Circulator, Metrobus and Metrorail. The App also provides fare information, Miami-Dade Transit contacts, bus schedules, and connecting buses.
