Why is it important to give?

LaGuardia remains a haven for talented teenagers from all across the 5 boroughs of New York City, carrying on the legacy of the High Schools of Music & Art and Performing Arts. But as funding for the arts decreases, we ask our generous community of alumni, parents, and friends for help.

100% of all contributions go directly to Alumni & Friends (A&F) to support our programs - providing need-based scholarships for summer study and private lessons, funding for LaGuardia's studios, master classes, merit awards, and keeping our network of LaGuardia, Music & Art and Performing Arts alumni connected.

Alumni & Friends is grateful for your commitment to the arts. Your contribution will make a lasting impact on LaGuardia High School and its students.
A thank you from a recent graduate

"The A&F Summer Study Scholarship helped me build a professional level college portfolio, and I was accepted to my dream school - Rhode Island School of Design. At times I've struggled with believing in my artistic abilities, so to receive A&F's support on numerous occasions means more than I can ever express. You inspire me to keep pushing forward, to continue creating, and to constantly work towards my future career as an illustrator and animator. "

- Deirdre Rouse (Art), LaGuardia '17
