CHAMBER REWIND...
KUKA ROBOTICS OPENED A NEW METAL & ARC TECHCENTER IN SHELBY TWP.
Last week, KUKA Robotics opened a new Metal & Arc TechCenter at its Shelby Twp. location. Chamber ambassadors, board members, staff members, President Melanie Davis, community officials and local media attended the grand opening.  The new TechCenter allows engineers to test new technologies and customized solutions without causing any disruption to their own facilities. KUKA also offers training to up and coming robotic technicians on its equipment, to help with the skilled trades shortage.

GENISYS CREDIT UNION OPENED ITS NEWEST LOCATION IN CLINTON TWP.
Genisys Credit Union unveiled its brand new location on Hall Rd. between Garfield and Romeo Plank Roads. Doors officially opened on Monday, Nov. 13.  This is the third Genisys branch to open in Macomb County.   Chamber President Melanie Davis, ambassadors, board members, staff members, local media and community officials all attended the ribbon cutting on Monday, Nov. 27.

MEMBER TIP:
The Art of Qualifying for the Decision

The Art of Qualifying For Decision:
Myra, a sales manager, scheduled a meeting with George, a salesperson who reported to her to discuss his closing ratios. She was concerned about the high number of presentations George was making that were resulting in a "let's think it over" response.

After a little discussion, the two were able to identify the problem. George wasn't qualifying his prospects on their decision-making process....and as a result, he wasn't actually connecting with decision makers. He was spending a lot of time spinning his wheels with people who couldn't actually move deals forward for him, he wasn't getting the information he needed, and he was closing far fewer sales than either he or Myra wanted.

MEMBER BENEFIT OF THE WEEK:
BRIGHTER LOGISTICS
5% rebate on LTL, truckload or expedited, paid quarterly.

MEMBER NEWS
PETERS, COLLEAGUES ANNOUNCE BIPARTISAN REGULATORY RELIEF PACKAGE TO PROTECT CONSUMERS AND PROMOTE ECONOMIC GROWTH
U.S. Senator Gary Peters (MI) joined a bipartisan group of Senators in announcing a bipartisan agreement to reduce regulatory burdens on community banks and credit unions and provide new protections to consumers. The legislative package, which is still being finalized, is targeted toward helping community banks, credit unions, mid-sized banks, regional banks and custody banks. It includes important consumer protections, particularly for veterans, senior citizens and victims of fraud.

"Small community banks and credit unions provide vital access to loans that help their customers and members start businesses, pay for college or buy a home or car," said Senator Peters.
