Lessons in Life and Cooking
|
Pembroke Pines Elementary student Deena Jester and her father
Dwayne were on the set of
SoFlo Taste with Chef Michelle Bernstein recently. The show, filmed at JA World's Huizenga Catering kitchen, provided Deena an opportunity to make her debut on the real WPLG Local 10 station when Chef Bernstein asked for a guest! She loved the opportunity put the presentation skills she learned from the JA curriculum to real-life work and to see a real TV show set. As the JA BizTown Local 10
meteorologist of the day, Deena said she would rather forecast the weather than hosting a cooking show but she
had so much fun, she will be joining us for JA Biztown Camp this year!
Thank you, Chef Bernstein and our partners at
WPLG Local 10 for giving our students a once-in-a-lifetime experience!
