Tree lighting on Broadway
Last week, 60 trees along Broadway were wrapped with white lights to brighten the area. This is our second year lighting trees and we hope your visitors, customers, and employees love the
extra sparkle and cheer on Broadway. We tried to light all of the BIA area, but unfortunately there are some areas we were unable to light due to non-functioning power sources on Seattle City Light poles.
These lights will be up through March 2018 and will be maintained on a regular basis. If you see light strings that have been damaged and/or are no longer working, please send a note to with location and a brief description to bbia@caphillchamber.org.

Your Ratepayer Dollars Hard at Work:
The Broadway BIA has a contract with Recology StreetScapes to sweep the sidewalks, remove graffiti, bio
-hazards and posters 7 days a week. This year, we noticed a significant build up of leaves on sidewalks and gutters, which can create pedestrian hazards and potentially flooding issues. Recology brought more staff into the area over the first two weeks in November to deal with the extra leaf litter, and we saw a dramatic improvement over the past week.

Hilloween 2017 was a huge success!
On Oct 28th, Capitol Hill Chamber of Commerce's 8th annual Hilloween welcomed thousands of families to a one-day community celebration on Broadway and in the Pike-Pine corridor. The indoor carnival was a hit and trick or treaters loved the sunny fall day. Check out the photos from the
Carnival and
Red Carpet.
Thank you to the Broadway BIA ratepayers for sponsoring the afternoon Trick or Treating!
Special thanks to our sponsors:
