Come Be Our Guest!
Beauty and the Beast -
A Musical Feast!
The full pit-band musical takes center stage Thursday, Friday and Sunday! After weeks and weeks of rehearsals, memorization, music practice and perfecting dance ensembles the Healy actors, actresses, musicians, pit crew and directors are ready to perform for YOU! Showtimes: Thursday and Friday at 7PM and Sunday at 2PM. 'Come be our Guest!'
** DID YOU KNOW? **
Our tradition of large musicals has become a community favorite and our students actually get evaluated and then participate in the Hennepin Theatre Trust Company-Spotlight on Education Program. Our recent graduates are taking their talents to the next level in the world of theatre.
Pioneer Football (and fans) -
Headed Back to the Bank!
GO PIONEERS!
State Semi-Finals game is Saturday, November 18 at 2PM at U.S. Bank Stadium vs. Jordan
After a 42-14 win over the Proctor Rails, the team advances to the next round of State playoffs. Tickets are on sale in the District office--$14 for adults, $9 for students. Come cheer on the team!

Can't make it to the game? Watch the game streamed live on Prep 45!
Pioneer Elementary -
Fun, Learning, Empathy and Kindness
Kindergartners designed their own alphabet fashions as they modeled their creations (and received high-fives and cheers!) for the entire lower wing in their Alphabet Fashion Show!
First Graders made 'plarn' from plastic bags. Plarn is a 'plastic yarn' made from plastic bags which is then used to make mats for the homeless. Learning empathy -how great is that?!
Second Graders are inspired to "Choose Kind". These young minds created a club to include all 2nd graders to pledge to make a difference in someone's life and choose kindness. Let's all take that pledge!

Second Graders (below) had the chance to see the play and meet the performers!
Bingo Night for Adults with Disabilities -
Fun for All!
Healy Students Helping Out
We aren't sure who had more fun - the EPIC member students or the adults! Also, special thanks to the Pierz Lions Club and the Knights of Columbus Council 3982 for their monetary donation to purchase prizes and refreshments.
Collaborative Creativity with Critical Thinking
Innovation in the Classrooms - TechMobile at Pioneer and Healy
Through a program provided through National Joint Powers Association (NJPA) in Staples, students in the high school and elementary have access to several technology devices, software and projects this year that would be well out of our price range if we had to purchase (so thank you NJPA)!

Second graders designed, built and tested race cars, studying velocity, wind resistance and torque (below).

Seventh graders in Project Lead the Way (PLTW) class designed light switch plates using Inventor software and 3D printed them using the Stratsys Uprint (left).

Students in the district will also be using 3D Engravers, Laser Engravers, Lego Robotics, studying electrical circuits using SnapCircuits, and so much more!
Students Need Your Help to Help Those Less Fortunate
The Pierz Spanish Club is teaming up with Kids Against Hunger Brainerd Lakes Area again this November. We will be selling $1 bracelets and accepting donations from now through Nov.21st.
Every dollar donated supplies ingredients for 4 meals! Our goal is to sell/raise $300 and match it.
We will go to package meals on Tuesday, Nov. 21.
Gracias for your support:)
Thank You, Pierz American Legion!
