LCLC Named Winner of Chicago Beyond 2017 Innovation Challenge!
LCLC DRP youth
We are excited to share with you that LCLC has been named the winner of the second annual Chicago Beyond Innovation Challenge!

Chicago Beyond will invest $1.66 million over the next three years, allowing LCLC to grow and hire additional staff to serve hundreds more court involved juveniles and emerging adults in North Lawndale.

As we've seen over the past eight years, lawyers working with social services in the neighborhood deeply impacts the legal and social outcomes for disconnected youth by helping them succeed in education, find employment, and stay free from the criminal justice system.

This investment also includes a research partnership with UChicago Urban Labs to study our program's effectiveness.  We are looking forward to an in-depth evaluation of our community-based model to be able to gather more data to support community-based alternatives to incarceration and criminal justice reform.
