  Supporting Individuals, Families and Seniors

CAC helps residents of all ages, whether it's emergency assistance for a family or food for a senior on a fixed income.  And in the process, we build a stronger community. CAC recently received a letter from a 92-year-old Sandy Springs resident who described how she enjoys her regular visits to CAC for food in more ways than one.
"As CAC tries to meet the community's needs, their shelves get thinned out," she wrote. "I just wanted to let the area merchants, who donate, and the lovely CAC staff and volunteers, know how much it means to one of your oldest clients, who has been stretching her meager Social Security check for a long time. You give me assistance when I need it and show me respect, and I am grateful for all you do." Read Georgenne's entire letter at www.ourcac.org
Building Hope Campaign Update

David Couchman, left, Tom and Marilyn Reese and Melanie Couchman at CAC's donor appreciation event.
Thank you donors from across the community! CAC's Building Hope capital campaign has reached $1.724 million toward the $2 Million goal! Significant contributors to CAC in the last year received an update on the campaign and expansion efforts at a recent donor appreciation event. With donor support CAC purchased this year the building at 8607 Roswell Road. Thrift shop processing area renovations have been completed and food pantry renovations are underway. CAC's client choice model food pantry is expected to move to the new building early next year. The move will free up space at 1130 Hightower Trail to expand Adult Education and Career services as well as allow CAC to operate all seasonal programs in house. Also, CAC's first satellite site is expected to open in December near I-285 that will provide access to residents in the south Sandy Springs area.
