Hi Club Leaders and Moderators! I hope you all enjoyed the Thanksgiving Break and were able to reflect on the people and things in your life that give you gratitude! As we roll into December, there are only a few reminders that I'd like to point out since you will soon be busy with finals & end-of-semester projects.
Rosters:
In an effort to keep all club members informed of new workshops/programs, and club initiatives, I'm asking you-the President of your Club- to send me an updated roster (in Excel) before the start of the Spring semester. I'm finding that only Club Presidents are receiving the information and not spreading the news to their club members and this is one way we can reach every club member so they are aware of the programming available to them! When you send me your excel spreadsheet, please have the following info for each member:
- First and Last name
- Email address
This is will be a requirement to maintain "active" club status each semester going forward and the list will not be shared to anyone outside of the Student Activities Office. If you have any concerns about privacy, identification, or use of the roster, please feel free to reach out to me at
aleas@loyola.edu
so we can discuss further. Rosters are due by the beginning of the spring semester, and
no later than January 16, 2018.
Club Council:
The Student Activities Office is proud to announce the creation of a new student-led leadership group that will work directly with our Student Clubs and Organizations- the Club Council! We are accepting applications and will be selecting our first members of the Council this spring for the 2018-2019 academic year. See the ad below for the
Club Council application

Deadline to apply is February 1, 2018.

Has your club registered as team for Loyola's Relay for Life? Participating in Relay for Life is a great team-builder for clubs, not to mention that it's raising money for a very important cause!
Help them reach their fundraising goal of $200k while having an awesome night of games, food, prizes, and walking! The sooner you register, the more time you have to fund raise. Don't miss out on this awesome opportunity to raise money and awareness for Cancer.
|
|
The 4K For Cancer is a program of the Ulman Cancer Fund for Young Adults (UCF), a non-profit organization whose mission is to change lives by creating a community of support for young adults, and their loved ones, impacted by cancer.
The 4K has 6 teams of 18-25 year olds who run or cycle across the country every summer (June to August), uniting communities along the way who have been impacted by cancer. 4K participants fundraise a minimum of $4,500 for UCF before embarking on this journey of a lifetime.
During the trip, individuals gain personal and professional skills including but not limited to writing, conflict management, leading amongst peers, advertising, young adult cancer education, public speaking, etc. There are various leadership positions available with the opportunity to receive internship credit or community service hours.

When you submit your Event Reservation Form to the Student Activities Office you will notice that there is now a few boxes on the top of the form related to fundraiser events. If you are submitting a form that is a fundraiser of any kind, be sure to check off the appropriate boxes to indicate the following:
- Is it a fundraiser?
- If yes, what are you selling?
- Will you need a cash box?
- Will some or all of the proceeds be donated?
This information is mandatory for all fundraisers. If your event is not a fundraiser, you can ignore those particular questions and complete the form as you normally would.
