America's oldest silver dollar
- minted by the Dutch Mint as far back as the 1600's and commonly known as the New York Lion Dollar.
This ancient coin is certified by NGC and packaged together with a brand new, 2017 Proof restrike (minted by the very same Dutch Mint!).
We were offered a rather tiny allocation of the 5,000 restrike mintage and we said,
"Yes, please. We'll take 'em all".

This is cool!
The Dutch Mint has minted a restrike of the legendary "
New York Lion Dollar". Mintage is only 5,000. Today, we are offering
sets of two coins:
Coin #1) One original Dutch coin, certified by NGC as "Genuine Circulated".
Dates will vary, but the image we received featured a 17th century coin. My understanding is that Lion Dollars were no longer minted after 1713.
Coin #2) One new 2017 proof coin, certified by NGC as a
perfect PF70 Ultra Cameo and further designated as
FIRST DAY OF ISSUE
These coins were sold exclusively to a tiny group of retailers who are obligated to a minimum advertised price. However, as this is a
private newsletter, we are not bound to that agreement!
