Therapy Camel?
We had a great visit Tonight! Grunt wore his camel costume for Halloween and remembered a few of the residents.

One man was in an accident and is largely immobile so he invited Grunt to climb onto his bed. Grunt was unable to determine where his limbs were under the blanket but trusted him and laid across him. The gentleman brightened right up and opened up to me about the artwork in his room. I felt like Grunt was really helping him!

Thanks again for connecting us with Gilpin Hall! Chris, the site contact, is a great host and wonderful to work with on the visit.

Thank you,

Meghan  Gladle

Aileen joined PAWS in November of 2012 because she believes in the benefits of a dog's unconditional love. She visits with her sweet girls, Meisha, a Cavachon, and Lucy, a Mini Labradoodle. This team is Masters' Certified and visits Abbey Manor Assisted Living, Beebe Healthcare, Cadia Rehabilitation, A.I. duPont Hospital for Children/Nemours, Southern Elementary School (as a PAWS for Reading team), and Ronald McDonald House of Delaware. Aileen is also a First Visit Assistant, New Team Trainer, and PAWS Office volunteer. What a terrific team!
Jaccquie Cole & Dudley
Jacquie joined PAWS to share her sweet-natured Old English Sheepdog, Dudley. She knew that Dudley would be a great therapy companion! In the two years that have passed since joining PAWS, Jacquie says that he "enjoys people more now than ever!" This Advanced team loves visiting at Southgate Health Care Center and community events like DeStress Events and Book Fairs at Barnes & Noble. What a great team!
