Our Vision Statement
Old North Church is an inclusive Christian Community called to bring to life God's love and grace by sharing the gospel for this time and place; extending the hospitality Christ showed; embodying God's love and compassion to those in need; and growing together in our understanding and experience of the Holy Spirit at work in our midst.
Church Fair Preview Party
Friday, November 17, 7-9pm $25pp
Save the date for a warm and delicious evening of food and friendship at the Old North Church Fair Preview Party. The Parish Hall will be transformed into a Winter Wonderland of specialty appetizers, main course selections and desserts prepared and donated by members of our church community. If you love what you taste, there will be opportunities to bid on your favorite dishes, as well as a few other specialty food items. While you nibble, sip and mingle, you are encouraged to take an 'early bird' peek at what will be offered for sale at Saturday and Sunday's Winter Wonderland Fair. Bring your friends. We guarantee you won't go home hungry! (Please note: this is an adult event due to beer and wine being served.)  If you can provide a food item to be sampled and silent auctioned at the Preview Party or would like to donate an appetizer, main dish or dessert, please contact Sally or Katharine.
Reservations may be made at coffee hour in the Parish Hall after the 10:00 Sunday services; or by contacting:

Women's Gathering

Thursday, November 30

Our topic for discussion this month will be the #MeToo movement, and the rise in reporting of sexual violence in our society. I think it is important for church communities to hold a safe space for women, and to also have conversations around sexual violence that are supportive and empowering. Please join us. -Karla

Messiah Sing

Wednesday, Dec 13 at 7:30pm

Old North Church will host a MESSIAH SING on Wednesday, December 13th at 7:30pm, to benefit the victims of Hurricane Maria which devastated Puerto Rico. We will be singing the Christmas Portion only with the addition of the Hallelujah Chorus. There will be a small chamber orchestra, with harpsichord and all solos will be sung by our extraordinary Old North soloists. Any professional fees (all greatly reduced or donated) associated with the project will be sponsored by the Music Patrons Fund so that 100% of the proceeds can go to the victims. There will be no rehearsal - just a sing through! Please bring your own score; a limited number will be available to borrow at 7pm prior to the performance. If you'd like to help with a simple reception following the event, please contact Nan Haskell at [email protected]. Please help spread the word - ALL singers and listeners are welcome!

OWL Program for 7th-9th Graders

Beginning  January 7th at the UU Church

This year we are partnering with the UU Church in offering Our Whole Lives (OWL) for 7-9 graders.   We are encouraging especially families of our 9th graders to consider going through the program, which consists of 14 sessions through May, on Sundays from 4-6.  The Our Whole Lives Sexuality Education helps youth gain the knowledge, life principles and skills they need to express their sexuality in life-enhancing ways. It puts sexuality into the context of values and personal responsibility, helping them manage social pressure and advocate for equality.  It provides an opportunity to bring values and integrity to the real-life issues our young people face daily. The facilitators are from Old North and UUM.  There is a mandatory orientation meeting for parents and guardians of those who will participate on December 9th at 4pm at the UUM church to go over in detail the material.   If you cannot make that, one of the facilitators will meet with you individually.   For more comprehensive information, please visit:

Mindfulness Meditation Class
MINDFULNESS MEDITATION: "We Only Have Moments to Live" returns to ONC on Thursday and Saturday mornings beginning 11/30/17 and 12/2/17. This introductory class is a powerful and practical way of releasing old conditioned patterns of thinking and behaving that limit relationships, problem solving and growth. "Accessing Inner Wisdom for Growth & Healing" for experienced students develops the capacity for inner dialogue for problem solving, interconnection and to manifest our unique spiritual purpose. Registration material is available by clicking here. Contact Dr. Stephanie Green (781-710-9744 or [email protected]) to register or for information.
We Need Contact Info Updates!

We will be working on updating the ONC Membership Directory this Summer to have available in the Fall.  If you have had any recent changes in e-mail or home addresses, phone numbers, or family information, please notify the church office ([email protected]) as soon as possible to assure that we have accurate information to distribute.
