Congregational Meeting - Thursday, November 16th, 7:45 pm 

Please plan to attend our Congregational Meeting this Thursday! At Temple B'nai Chaim, there are two Congregational meetings each year, held in November and May. This is your opportunity to hear what's going on, ask questions and get to know one another.  Please come participate in our community.  We need a quorum to conduct the congregation's business! Book Fair, Judaica Sale, Sunday, November 19th, 9:30 am 

The Book Fair is Back! Sisterhood is selling Judaica too! 

Want an easy way to get Hanukkah and other holiday gifts for your family and friends (or yourself!) which also helps support the religious school? On Sunday November 19, come check out the Jewish Book Fair/Sisterhood Judaica sale in the old sanctuary. It will be open from 9:30 am until 12:00 noon. The Book Fair will also take place on Wednesday and Thursday, November 15 and 16 from 4:20 pm to 6:00 pm.

There will be a wonderful selection of adult and children's books, including cookbooks, coloring books, best sellers, etc., etc., etc!!! Credit cards, cash or checks accepted! Judaica gifts include: jewelry, menorahs, mezuzahs, and so much more!
Thanksgiving Interfaith Service - Monday, November 20 

This year's annual Thanksgiving service will be hosted at Long Ridge United Methodist Church, 201 Long Ridge Road in Danbury on Monday, November 20, at 7:00 pm. All are welcome to participate in an evening of fellowship. The service will be led by clergy of different denominations and religions. Music will be sung by a volunteer, interfaith choir.
Do a Mitzvah in Your Sleep! 

We need volunteers to help at the Overflow Homeless Shelter in Danbury. Our first week of coverage is 12/25-12/31. Contact Peggy Zamore at socialaction@templebnaichaim.org if interested! More information here!

By participating in this mitzvah you are helping to provide a warm place for people to spend the night during the coldest time of the year. Without us supporting this project, two dozen people might be out on the street looking for a place to huddle for the night. Please help!
All-Star Fiddler on the Roof with Rabbi Bearman!
 
Fiddler on the Roof All-Star Community Staged Reading Presented by the Federation for Jewish Philanthropy of Upper Fairfield County, Sunday, December 3 at 4:00 pm, at Congregation Rodeph Sholom, Bridgeport.  Rabbi Bearman is "The Rabbi!"

The Federation for Jewish Philanthropy of Upper Fairfield County, Upper Fairfield County Rabbis, Cantors, Community Leaders, and more present a script-in-hand reading of the classic Broadway musical, singing all of Fiddler's most popular songs accompanied by a volunteer community orchestra and choral ensemble.

All proceeds from this event will benefit the Federation's work to impact our extended Jewish family in the former Soviet Union.  More information and tickets.

Consecration and Shabbat Family Service Friday, December 1

Join us for Consecration and a Shabbat family service starting at 6:00 pm with a kid-friendly Preneg (pizza & veggies). At 6:30 pm, Shabbat worship and Consecration followed by an Oneg with a certified nut-free option at the dessert table.

Don't Forget the Turnover Shop!  


Temple B'nai Chaim receives 60% of the proceeds from your donations to the Wilton Turnover Shop, a non-profit thrift shop located in the Village Market building in Wilton Center.

The Turnover shop is run entirely by volunteers and benefits the Wilton schools' PTA and local nursing and home care. If you are cleaning out your closets, the shop will accept seasonal clothing, housewares, small furniture and collectibles. For further information, please email consignments@templebnaichaim.org.

A wonderful way of celebrating special simchas, such as birthdays, anniversaries, graduations, the birth of a child or grandchild, is sharing your nachas with the entire congregation by sponsoring the Shabbat Oneg, Preneg or Flowers for the Friday of your special week. No special occasion? You can still sponsor a Shabbat! It is traditional to light a memorial candle on the eve of the yahrzeit at home and to recite Kaddish when lighting the yahrzeit candle. It is also a custom to make donations in memory of loved ones around the time of yahrzeit.
