News from Five Talents
This Sunday, Nov. 19; 10:10 a.m.; McGill Hall
This Sunday, many churches around the world will reflect on Jesus' Parable of the Talents (Matthew 25:14-30). As Five Talents' work is inspired by this parable and the call of Jesus to minister good news to the poor, they will be sharing the impact that The Church of the Holy Comforter has made with the talents that we've provided over the years. In appreciation, Five Talents has compiled a devotional booklet,
talentED: using your gifts for good, featuring reflections from pastors and church leaders on this passage. Please join this Sunday to hear the latest news and appreciation from one of our long-term ministry partners.

The Christmas Giving Table is Underway!
Stop by the Giving Table in the narthex to find out how you can help support local charities this year. New this year is the Northern Virginia Human Trafficking Initiative, a local faith-based organization that serves very vulnerable people. They need gift cards to Target, Walmart, and movie theaters. In addition, we are continuing to support the Committee for Helping Others (CHO), the Lamb Center, the Salvation Army, and Second Story (formerly Alternative House). Check out the needs of each of these organizations, and sign up for your choices. Then bring your contributions to church no later than Sunday, December 10 (Thursday, December 7 for Salvation Army and CHO). If you don't have time to shop, please consider giving a cash gift, and ECW will do the rest.
