Camden Catholic High School Retreat Program

Student Government
All those attending the Inaugural Christmas Tree Lighting are reminded to bring a donation of new socks or mittens for the Homeless.  These items will be donated to Joseph's House.  We are reminded in this season of Advent to care for those who are without homes to honor our Savior who was born in a stable because there was no room at the inn.

Campus Ministry
Winter Athletes- the mandatory Catholic Athletes for Christ retreat for all winter athletes will be held on December 8, 2017 at Camden Catholic High School from 1200 noon to 4pm.  The retreat will include mass for the Feast of the Immaculate Conception, a holy day of obligation as well as sessions focused on the athletic virtues of charity and sportsmanship.  Senior students from our Christian Leadership Theology class have put together the various activities and will lead the overall retreat.  They are working very diligently and are student athletes themselves so we know that what they are preparing will be helpful to our student athletes and coaches in integrating CCHS's athletics into the overall Catholic Christian mission of our school.
We ask for your prayers for all our winter athletes for their retreat and their athletic season.

From the Nurse's Office
Parents are reminded that all Juniors need a physical.  Please schedule appointments if physicals haven't been returned yet and return completed forms to the nurse's office.

The start of winter sports will be here before we know it!  Any student trying out for a winter sport must have a current physical on file in the nurse's office.  Practice/try-outs begins  November 6th for swimming and ice hockey.  Sports physicals for these sports are due no later than  November 3rd.  Practice/try-outs for all other winter sports begins  November 20th and physicals are due no later than  November 17th.

If a sports physical becomes a year old during a sport season, there is a 10-day grace period from the date of the last physical to obtain a new one.  If no physical is returned at the end of the 10-day grace period, the athlete must sit out of sports until a new physical is returned and cleared.  If possible, a courtesy reminder will be sent from the nurse's office, but as noted in the student handbook, it is the responsibility of the student/parent to ensure sports physicals are current.

Please contact Mrs. Veneziani in the nurse's office with any questions.
