CMSC Bids Farewell to Board Member John Baker
CMSC Board Chair Ted DeSantos presents John Baker with a plaque commemorating his time on the CMSC Board.

The CMSC Board of Directors said goodbye to retiring director John Baker at their November meeting. Mr. Baker, Senior Vice President & Regional Manager for Webster Bank, joined the CMSC board in 2007, and served as board Treasurer for the last several years. Over the past decade Mr. Baker has been a vocal advocate for CMSC's work, and for the importance of revitalizing Connecticut's downtowns, often sharing memories of his youth in downtown Winsted.

All of us here at CMSC would like to thank Mr. Baker for his many years of service on the CMSC Board, and wish him the best of luck in his retirement!

2017 CT Main Street Keystone Award Winner:
New Haven Grand Prix , sponsored by Webster Bank

CT Main Street Keystone Award sponsored by Webster Bank.
New Haven is already home to a vibrant downtown filled with food, culture, and entertainment, in addition to a growing bike culture. Since 2015, the downtown has capitalized on these traits with the New Haven Grand Prix, a collaboration between Aidan Charles of the CT Cycling Advancement Program (CT CAP) and Win Davis of New Haven's Town Green (Special Services) District in partnership with the City. The result is a racing event that attracts 15,000 spectators to the downtown to enjoy cycling, food and entertainment.
