Downtown Kamm's Corners is brightening up with an attractive combination of white tree lights and festive red banners for 20 light poles, ushering in the holiday shopping season. The tree lights are LEDs, which use little electricity and last for many years. They will remain in place throughout the holiday season. Look for the lights to come on just prior to Thanksgiving. They are brought to us by the property owners who support the Kamm's Area Special Improvement District.  

 

Give Special Support to Our Small Businesses on Saturday, November 25 

 

Remember to support our local businesses all year long, but especially during the holiday season. They return a great deal to our community simply through city taxes, employer wages, and contributions to local non-profit organizations. Also, the unique character of our community is defined in large part by our businesses. They play a big role in our overall satisfaction and the value of our homes and properties. Volunteers Needed to Pack and Deliver Food Baskets for West Park Families

 

Saint Patrick Catholic Church expects to feed more than 300 families through their Hunger Center operation this year for Thanksgiving. Each family will receive a bag filled with instant potatoes, gravy mix, sweet potatoes, canned vegetables, cranberry sauce, muffin mix, stuffing mix, pie crust mix, pumpkin pie filling, condensed milk, a certificate for a half-gallon of milk, and a certificate for a turkey.  

 

Volunteers are needed! Young, old, singles, families--all are invited to Thorpe Hall, 4427 Rocky River Drive, on Saturday, November 18, to pack and deliver the Thanksgiving bags. Work begins at 9 a.m. with coffee and donuts to start the day. Monetary donations are also welcome. Simply show up to help others in need. For more information, call the rectory at 216-251-1200.
