SHOP SMALL.  SHOP LOCAL.  SHOP JASPER COUNTY.  SHOP DOWNTOWN MONTICELLO.

The Chamber of Commerce is encouraging the community to "put your money where your HEART is" on Saturday, November 25, 2016, for Shop Small Saturday.

Shop Small Saturday was originated by American Express in 2010, as a retort to the overwhelming sales on Black Friday for big box stores.  In short, Shop Small Saturday is the "Black Friday" for small businesses.  The Saturday after Thanksgiving has since been known as "Shop Small Saturday".

Since its inception, the Monticello-Jasper County Chamber of Commerce has participated and encouraged merchants and residents to "shop small".

The Chamber of Commerce is jump starting Shop Small Saturday with "30 Days of Shopping Small".  Beginning on November 16th and extended thru Saturday, December 16th , at Noon, residents can bring in receipts, daily, from a Jasper County SMALL BUSINESS.  A drawing will be held at 4 pm on Monday, December 4 and Friday, December 22 to reward their reinvestment into the community.

On Saturday, November 25th, local merchants and businesses throughout Jasper County are encouraged to offer deep discounts, free gifts and much more. Local merchants will offer "Early Bird" specials, giveaways and much more!  See the Monticello News' Shop Small section for specific sales at your favorite businesses.

The entire community is invited to come early and shop with your Downtown merchants. For more information on Shop Small Saturday contact the Monticello-Jasper County Chamber of Commerce at 706-468-8994 or via email [email protected].
