HKS hosting community meetings for Tropicana Field hks

The City of St. Petersburg and HKS Architects are holding two community meetings on the master plan vision for the redevelopment of the Tropicana Field property. At each meeting, you can expect to learn more about the initiative and the opportunities it presents. More importantly, you will have an opportunity to ask questions and to offer your input.

The first community meeting will be held on Monday, July 18, 2016 at 6:30PM at the Coliseum, 535 4th Avenue North.

The second community meeting will be held on Tuesday, July 19, 2016 at 6:30PM at the Campbell Park Recreation Center, 601 14th Street South.

Skyway Marina District to see 250 new apartments with mixed-use project smd


Phillips Development & Realty has announced plans to build 250 market rate apartments and approximately 25,000 SF of retail on a 9 acre parcel at 30th Avenue and 34th Street South. The site is currently owned by Home Depot who has owned the property for the past decade. Conceptual plans include a four-story residential building on the back of the property, a full service restaurant, and general commercial buildings.

CareerSource unveils enhanced Tampa Bay Intern site career
CareerSource Pinellas and CareerSource Tampa Bay recently re-launched Tampa Bay Intern, a website connecting interns with employers. Originally created in 2014, CareerSource used feedback from its partners and local employers to enhance the site and offer a more user-friendly experience.

The site contains two components: an employer view and a candidate view. On the employer side, businesses can create profiles and list internship positions. On the candidate side, interns can post resumes and search for internships that match their interests. Check out Tampa Bay Intern and find the newest talent on the market!
Call to local artists - SHINE Mural Festival 2016 shinesmr


Bringing more than a dozen new murals and vibrant special events to our City of the Arts, the SHINE St. Petersburg Mural Festival returns for its second year September 1-10, 2016, showcasing colorful and inspiring public murals by a diverse group of artists from around the world.

The St. Petersburg Arts Alliance is calling on local artists or teams to submit applications for the opportunity to showcase their art on a wall downtown. Interested individuals should visit the Call for Submissions page for more information. Applications are due July 11th and the winning artist or team will be notified August 1st

Help support the Baseball Forever Campaign by joining the city for Baseball Forever Night on August 19 at 7:10 pm at Tropicana Field. Tickets are $25 for lower level and $10 for upper level and can be purchased online here.

Establish your online craft business through the Etsy Craft Entrepreneurship Program (CEP) etsy

The St. Petersburg Greenhouse is taking enrollment for the Etsy Craft Entrepreneurship Program (CEP). Over 5 sessions taught by successful online craft seller Cristina Lembo, craft makers will learn how to establish an online business to sell their products to a wider market and earn extra income. The course includes topics of time management, branding, pricing, shipping, and photography.
