TEEN CAMP
"Teen Camp 2016 was Spirit filled and words cannot describe the magnitude of what took place. God showed up in a multitude of ways and as always was faithful to move in the hearts of teens and staff. Everyone entered In to His presence and His will this week of camp, and are heeding the call to Enter In to the world with the hope of Jesus Christ.  We are His ambassadors- created with purpose, imagination, and gifts- to reach the world with the hope that is our anchor- Jesus Christ.  This years teen camp we had 173 campers, 42 Counselors, and 10+ staff. Of the 173 we were told of 12 that had first time salvation moments, 26 recommitments to Christ, 24 who had sanctification experiences, 44 had prayer victories, 14 felt a call to ministry and 11 felt the call to missions, 12 want to be baptized, and 19 want to be discipled. Praise the Lord for an incredible year at teen camp!" Charlotte More, Teen Camp Director

KIDS & PRE-TEEN CAMP
146 campers + 44 counselors + 9 directors + 2 nurses + 1 chapel speaker = an amazing week at Kids & Pre-Teen Camp!  From July 5 - 8, second through sixth graders from across the district enjoyed time together at Lake Williamson Christian Camp as they learned about our super hero, Jesus. Chapel speaker Cheryl Sherwood shared several stories from the Bible about "super powers" displayed by different people in the Bible. Kids were challenged to trust their lives and talents to Jesus, and many campers came to a first-time faith in Jesus.

In addition to the amazing chapel services, kids participated in some crazy camp games, spent time at the beach and learned about world missions with Anna and Renee Kindle. Campers developed friendships across the district and strengthened their faith in Jesus as they participated in the activities throughout the week. A special thank you to the counselors and staff who gave of their time and energy as they loved, played and prayed with the campers! We are all looking forward to Camp 2017!

ENCUENTRO

"Sometimes you just have to be flexible and roll with it!! This incredible Encuentro NWIL bunch has really been rolling out some Holy Spirit-Obvious excitement and "rollwithitness" here in my sunny home country!!! Tonight the beautiful Puerto Rican people here in the city really showed us their love for relationship, great food, music, and good old-fashioned takin' your time. What a great mix of every imaginable shade of urban living and culture. Even in the midst of a painf ul economic season, Puerto Rico reaches for joy. The sights, smells and signs are wonderful!!!! But the people are the stars!!! Tomorrow we'll enjoy the Lord as we have church on the beach!!!
Our director, Pastor Ronda is INCREDIBLE!!! Our adult sponsors are so so impressive, and these teens are Jesus-strong!!
NYI Allies, I wish you could all be here with us. Tomorrow I will have some pineapple in your honor!!!! We Need Each Other!!!"

For generations, Nazarenes have supported the World Evangelism Fund. Together, we've accomplished so much in our first 100 years. Join us on a journey into the next 100 years and partner with the Church of the Nazarene to make Christlike disciples in the nations. In our new plan for Funding the Mission, the World Evangelism Fund is the vehicle through which we deliver the message of hope - and your church drives our mission more than ever before.

-Ministry Call-
NMI with the collaboration of NYI and SDMI has been trying to compile a list of children and youth who have expressed a call into ministry. The goal of NMI's Ministry Call is to educate, inform and guide those children and youth called into ministry get as much help in following through with those calls. Being able to pray for them by name and introducing them to opportunities to develop in their particular area of ministry.

If you know of a student who feels called into ministry please let Ronda Hollars know by giving her a call at 815-875-1900
or by email Ronda Hollars
As you are going,
THINK BIG: Every relationship, every interaction, all inclusive.

And make disciples,
START SMALL: You. Be one. Be a Christ-like disciple. Re-present Jesus.

Baptizing them, immersing them in Jesus,
GO DEEP: Pray. Empty yourself. Sacrifice.

"Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age."  Matt. 28:19-20
