Yesterday, Rev. James De Biasio and my ISD family honored my first anniversary as Pastor with the lovely bouquet of flowers pictured above, that was used to add energy to our Sunday service.
What a year it has been, and what a blessing!
I continue to be amazed and inspired by the dedication, commitment and engagement of our ISD family. We create whole new Spanish language services! We agree at the last minute to take on a Sunday Service role that wasn't assigned. We raise the energy of our services with our musical gifts. We lead classes. We write and present homilies. We program and distribute our bi-monthly events and volunteer schedules (sometimes after many dizzying changes and edits), we troubleshoot our computers and other infrastructure systems, we donate our time as mediums or healers.
I could go on, of course...
The point is, I am in awe of how we are always inspiring each other to be and do our best for our spiritual family and our spiritual home. Each and every day we continue to make our spiritual home better and better because we are making ourselves better and better. AND, we have a blast doing it! What could be more rewarding than that for
any of us?
I think it is really cool that I get to celebrate this anniversary each spring, my very favorite season. Because what it really means is that we can all celebrate all that we have accomplished together in the last year, while we align with the amazing renewal energy of this restorative season to continue to evolve ourselves and enlighten one another. We are all one.
Our amazing April continues this week: We have class two of
Metaphysical Perspectives of the Old Testament, led by the ISD Ministerial Staff on Tuesdays, April 12, 19 and 26; and class two of
Tarot for Self Guidance led by Lyriel Claire Thursdays, April 14, 21 and 28. As with most of ISD's classes, you can attend each class as a stand-alone event - we do a quick review of the previous content to bring everyone up to speed.
On Wednesday of this week, Rev. Brooke Kussling will lead an
Evening Dream Circle, which is a wonderful space and place to talk of our dreams at night, and how we might apply the insight that that offer to our day to day lives. Please add your energy to this wonderful experience!
If you haven't checked out ISD's Soundcloud page, do it today! There you will find our homilies and our meditations, all posted to help all of us expand our spiritual awareness with the convenience of online technologies!
In Gratitude and Love,
Rev. Rob Banaszak
